The Red Marker had the opportunity to work with ITE College West to create a 360 virtual tour of their college campus with a glimpse into their advanced training facilities catered to improve the learning experience for their students. Located in the Western region of Singapore in Choa Chu Kang, ITE College West offers courses in 4 different Schools: Business & Services, Electronics & Info-Comm Technology, Engineering and Hospitality. Each of these schools has state-of-the-art amenities where students are able to learn in a realistic work environment such as an automotive facility and even a functional hotel replica.
The Red Marker shot an interactive 360 virtual tour of the campus with easy accessibility and navigation into their various training centres for prospective students who are interested in ITE College West’s curriculum and amenities. The virtual tour also provides a bird’s eye view of the entire college campus and is publicly available to all online visitors.
The 360 virtual tour is shot on a DSLR camera that provides high-quality resolution of each image. This coupled with our editing & post-production techniques ensure that the images are seamlessly stitched together for smooth transitions. The addition of students as talents in the tour creates an immersive depiction of real-world learning within the facility.
The introductory page of the virtual tour includes an overview of the college as well as the institution’s vision for its students as a professional preface. When navigated into the tour, an embedded voice over provides a summary of the tour’s highlights and the college’s main features.
The introduction of the tour features a bird’s eye view of the campus taken with 360 drones for viewers to have a top-down orientation of the college. The aerial view also includes several hotspots that zoom into specific facility sites in the various schools for quicker navigation from a wider angle.
The virtual tour comes with an interactive menu on the sidebar of the screen, which features a breakdown of the different facilities categorised by their schools in an organised list. This allows easy navigation from one school to another without having to constantly access the introduction hotspot page.
Each facility comes with an embedded infobox, which highlights and summarises the important features of the space. These added texts give more information to prospective students and also links them to the official school site for viewers to find out more about the courses they are interested in.
