The Red Marker partnered with local multinational bank, DBS, to showcase a 360 tour of DBS Newton Green, Singapore’s first net-zero development by a bank. The office building was originally the POSB banking Newton branch, which was an iconic landmark in the 1980s. The transformation preserved its long-standing history while upgrading it into a green building as part of DBS’s vision to achieve net-zero operational carbon emissions by 2022. The revamped building is fully powered by solar panels and energy-efficient technology, which reduces its consumption by 70%.
The Red Marker shot an interactive 360 virtual tour to display the redesigned landmark and the adopted sustainable practices throughout the building. Standing four stories high, we had the opportunity to shoot the various green innovations in every corner of the building to provide a virtual insight into the historical location and its modern refurbishments toward a sustainable world.
The welcome page of the 360 virtual tour has a clean and professional design with an added background drone video. The video captures the exterior of the building from the ground up to get a sneak preview of its modern yet sustainable design and its solar panel rooftop.
The side menu neatly categorises the 4-storey building according to its different levels (including the rooftop). The easy-to-use collapsible menu highlights the various rooms in the building and allows users to navigate between the different levels and sections of the building with ease.
Every featured room of the building includes clickable hotspot buttons that users can access. The hotspot buttons give a deeper insight into the sustainable practices and innovations adopted in the building through descriptive texts. Some hotspots also include videos and images for further explanations of the advanced technology used.
